Billie Eilish's Green World: Aligning Your Personal Care with Environmental Activism

Billie Eilish's Green World: Aligning Your Personal Care with Environmental Activism

Throughout her music career, Billie Eilish has shown herself to be not only a talented singer and songwriter, but also a passionate environmentalist. She’s consistently taken an environmentally friendly stance during her “Where Do We Go?” and “Hit Me Hard and Soft” tours, partnering with nonprofit REVERB to minimize the greenhouse gasses emitted during her concerts.  Moreover, she’s also been vegan for several years, launched a sustainable clothing brand, and supported a variety of environmental campaigns.

Needless to say, Billie Eilish has done her fair share of environmental activism. And in honor of that, we’ve decided to assign some eco-friendly personal care products to some of her songs. Of course, these don’t have to dictate what products you purchase. We just wanted to appreciate one of today’s most environmentally active celebrities.

all the good girls go to hell: bamboo toothbrushes

As one of the top songs from her debut album, “WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO?”, “all the good girls go to hell” played an instrumental role in establishing Billie Eilish’s environmental stance. She sings that “hills burn in California” and “once the water starts to rise”, referring to the California wildfires and rising sea levels.

In relation to these issues, Bamboo toothbrushes are the perfect fit for this song. Not only do they play a key part in keeping our oceans clean by switching from traditional plastic toothbrushes, but they also contribute to healthier forests that are less likely to cause wildfires.

when the party’s over: facial cleanser beans

Another hit from her debut album, “when the party’s over” focuses on cleaning oneself from the mental struggles that may come from losing someone that you love. She sings, “Let's just let it go, Let me let you go” and that “I've learned to lose you, can't afford to”. Well one thing you can afford are facial cleanser beans which, while they may not clean away your heartbreak, can clean your face of harmful chemicals in traditional facial cleansers.

my future: toothpaste tablets

The first song in this list from Billie Eilish’s “Happier Than Ever” album, my future focuses on how she is “in love with [her] future” and is “in love, but not with anybody else; just wanna get to know myself”.

In this way, toothpaste tablets would be the perfect personal care product to reflect the message that Billie Eilish is saying here. By using toothpaste tablets, you can continue loving yourself through personal care while spreading that love to our environment. And just how she focuses on her future, you can too by purchasing refills for your tablets rather than wasting more plastic in another toothpaste tube.

ocean eyes: konjac body sponge

Being her most streamed song (over 1 billion streams) in her album “don’t smile at me”, “ocean eyes” explores the beauty of the ocean, describing how “you really know how to make me cry when you give me those ocean eyes”. Moreover, it also describes the destructive power of the ocean if not left attended, leaving “burning cities and napalm skies”.

In order to keep that beauty in our oceans that brings Eilish to tears, we can use konjac body sponges which are fully biodegradable and reduce plastic waste. Moreover, it also provides gentle exfoliation, improved skin texture, and is suitable for all skin types, curating skin who’s beauty may also bring Billie Eilish to tears.
